WWI promoted massive growth in Industry prior to 1920 and emissions went unrestricted. Prior to WWII America was being powered primarily by wood, coal, gasoline and diesel fuels for heating, production and transportation. After WWII there was a massive conversion to Natural Gas. After decades, the resistance to incoming solar radiance exceeded the loss of resistance caused from unrestricted logging and conversion of land that culminated into our great "Dust Bowl" event in the 1930's. This video is an insight into America's past and for some, a reminder of our world in the 50's and 60's. With the "Clean Air Act" and the creation of the EPA in 1970, our skies and waterways would eventually clear. Decreasing the resistance to incoming solar radiation upon the surface will naturally bring with it rising temperatures. Today, India, China and SE Asia are all contributing to the resistance to incoming solar radiance in the Indian and SW Pacific regions identically to the Global Dimming effect that altered the jet streams in the North Atlantic.
The Global Dimming era has been understood for decades and there are both natural and human contributions, and human contributions accelerating natural events. For example, a train sparking a wildfire accidentally could be classified as a natural event, but human related.
